Bernice Adeline Meridth beloved Mother, Granny and Mimi age 82, of Indian Mound, TN, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Friday, November 25, 2016 at St. Thomas West Hospital, Nashville, TN. She was born November 9, 1934 in Horry County, SC daughter of the late Nathan D., Daisy Johnson Hardwick, and Stepmother Leila Hardwick. A Savannah, GA, native, she was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Savannah. She was also a member of the Garden Club and Senior Friends, as well as a volunteer at the Bible Baptist Church Coastal Pregnancy Center. She retired from Memorial Medical Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Meridth, son, Ricky Meridth, brothers Isaac, Carl, and Jack Hardwick, sisters, Sanatha Martin and Elnita Shelley.

She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Thomas (Dan) of Ashville, NY, Patricia Kitchens (Johnny) of Gordon, GA, Renee Gant (Chuck) of Indian Mound, TN, daughter-in-law, Kate Meridth of Savannah, GA, brothers, N.D. and Billy Wayne Hardwick of Galivants Ferry, SC, grandchildren, Nathan, Graham and Daniel Thomas, Christina Ritzema, Jonathan Brookins, Mandy Smith, and Charlee Trinkle, great grandchildren, Corey Brookins, Lily and Rider Ritzema, Aydan Trinkle, Adeline Smith, and Arthur Thomas.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 am Friday at Johnson Funeral Home, Aynor, SC with Rev. Darren Hardwick officiating. Burial will follow in the Centenary United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service Friday at Johnson Funeral Home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund c/o James Allen Legette, 3622 S. Hwy 41A Marion, SC, 29571. Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
