Hazel Schmittou, age 93 of Dover, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Tennova Medical Center, Clarksville, TN. She was born May 19, 1923 in Model, TN, daughter of the late Walter and Clementine Hargrove Russell. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dover.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, John Schmittou, brothers, Raymond Rudy Russell, William Roscoe Russell, Jesse Damen Russell, Calvin Madison Russell, Joe Edgar Russell, sisters, Izalle Russell, and Zelphie Murphy.
Survivors include her daughter Judy Dahl (Bill) Omaha, NB, grandchildren, Michelle Kessler, Chris Dahl, Andrea Barker, and seven great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Friday, August 26, 2016 at First Baptist Church Dover with Rev. George Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Stewart County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Anglin Funeral Home and from 10:00 am until the time of service Friday at the First Baptist Church Dover. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home.
