Durwood Green Neely, 83 of Dover, TN passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Gateway Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Phil Dunn and Jeff Neely officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 5-8:00 pm and on Sunday, May 24, 2015 from 1-2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home.
He was born January 15, 1932 in Stewart Co., TN son of the late Ewing and Velma Simpson Neely. Mr. Neely was a cattle farmer specializing in Red Angus Livestock, former part owner of the Admiral Binder Co. in Nashville, TN, a U.S. veteran of the Korean Conflict and attended the Bumpus Mills Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, J.E. Neely. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Abbott Neely, Dover, TN, sister, Bonnie Free, Dover, TN, nephew, Jeff Neely, nieces, Pam West, Cindy Cook, Debbie Elkins and Becky Page. Pallbearers will be Don West, Travis Page, Roger Cook, Sr., Roger Dale Cook, Jr., Ben Cook, Jeff Neely and Jake Cook.
