Nick was my first supervisor at Piney Campground when I first started to work for LBL as a park attendent in the early 70"s. I left Piney in '75 to work as a Public Safety Officer for TVA at Ky Dam. Finally came back to LBL in '77, and worked in the wildlife section, Youth Station, and finally Woodlands Nature Center as naturalist for a total of some 20+ years. I knew Nick all those years and he was such a good friend and coworker. I also worked with him on the Continuous Forest Inventory, timber marking, deer check stations and timber salvage areas after tornadoes in LBL.
He was such a great deer hunter. I know the deer in western TN will not miss him, but I surely will.
Rest in peace my friend and know that you will forever remain in my heart.
