Obituary for Rose Marie Brigham (Reed)

Rose Marie Brigham, age 86, of Dover, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 at her residence. The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, October 19, at the Fort Donelson Memorial United Methodist Church with Dr. Tom Binford and Bro. Don Bailey to officiate, burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm Sunday at Anglin Funeral Home.
She was born November 24, 1927 in Acadia Parish, LA, daughter of the late Gueary Thomas, Reed Sr. and Gola Bess Stinson Reed. Mrs. Brigham was Co-owner and operator of Brigham Hardware in Dover, and was active with the Business and Professional Women's Club, and the Home Demonstration Club of Stewart County. She was a member of the Stewart County Library Board , had served as a Regional Director of Libraries and as a board member of the Stewart County Senior Citizens for several years. She was also an active member of the Fort Donelson Memorial United Methodist Church and their women's group.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Will Riggins Brigham, and brother, Gueary Thomas Reed, Jr.
Survivors include her son, Andy Brigham (Nadia), Dover, TN, grandchildren, Andrew Brigham, Hendersonville, TN, Kurston Alexandra Brigham, Birmingham, AL, sisters, Avalee Reed Bobo (Frank), Lynchburg, TN, Geri Fendley (Ben), Clarksville, TN, and sister-in-law, Jo Reed, Tupeolo, MS.
Pallbearers will be Bill Fendley, Gueary Reed, III, David Reed, Frank Fletcher, Andrew Brigham, Shannon Crutcher, Kerry Dove, and Tony Miles. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mart Fendley, James Clayton Brigham, George Williams, and the Employees of Brigham Hardware.
In lieu of other memorials, donations may be made to the Fort Donelson Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 53 Dover, TN 37058.
