Obituary for Benjamin Clayton Trinkle

Benjamin Clayton  Trinkle
Mr. Benjamin Clayton Trinkle “B.C.”, age 93, of Dover, TN, passed away September 18, 2018 at Diversicare of Dover. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. William Gray officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday, September 19th at Anglin Funeral Home and from 11:00 am until the time of service Thursday.

B.C. was born January 28, 1925 in the Palmyra Community of Montgomery County, to Clyde Clayton and Helen Swift Trinkle. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Kathryn Hilliard Trinkle, son, Robert Hilliard Trinkle, granddaughter, Tonya Earhart Swift, and great grandson, Abel Trinkle.

B.C. Worked at Frosty Morn for 18 years and Mid-South Touring for 20 years. He was an avid fisherman. He retired in 1987 and enjoyed crappie fishing for many years. B.C. was a great ambassador for Stewart County. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a Methodist.

B.C. is survived by his sisters, Mary Evelyn Crockarell, Helen Francis “Tincy” Royster, Effie Ida McGregor, children, Benette “Sam” Durfee (Art), Brenda Kay Earhart (Larry), and Benjamin Clayton Trinkle, Jr. (Lisa). He has 7 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Charles Crockarell, William Durfee, John Durfee, Derek Earhart, Benjamin Trinkle, III, Adam Trinkle, and Hilliary Trinkle Winn.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Barrow, Greg Barrow, Brien Dill, Chase Link, Vinnie Jones, Jim Nelson, and Tommy Andrews.

In lieu of memorials, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or the charity of your choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN.
