Bettie Louise DeRose, age 86, of Indian Mound, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital, Nashville, TN. She was born October 18, 1931 in Bellflower, IL, daughter of the late Walter Donald and Lucille Murine Harris Taylor. Mrs. DeRose was a member of the Rose Valley United Methodist Church and a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold DeRose, four brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by her son, Walter Douglas DeRose (Bonnie Mae), Dover, TN, daughters, Bonnie Gail Wilson, Indian Mound, Debra Louise Settle, Dover, brother, Gerald Lynn Taylor (Penny), IL, sisters, Carol Sue Amdor (Gale), AR, Mary Janseen, AZ, grandchildren, Robert Settle, Richard Foster, Joey Foster, David Foster, BJ DeRose, Misty Harris, Taylor Settle, Cortney Wilson, and five great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Monday, August 6th at Rose Valley United Methodist Church with Bro. Paul Edwards officiating, burial will follow in the Rose Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service Monday at the Church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
