Mr. Charles Albert Settle, Sr., age 88 of Dover, TN, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Diversicare of Dover. He was born December 16, 1929 in Stewart County, TN, son of the late Edgar Green and Katie Bell McGee Settle. Mr. Settle retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Nashville, TN and attended the Andrew Price United Methodist Church, Nashville, TN. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Korean War Veterans Association.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters, Iris Lucille Sykes, Lela Settle Morrow, and Amy Settle Harris.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Rachael Chandler Settle, son, Charles A. Settle, Jr., Hendersonville, TN, daughter, Patti Burke (Randy), Nashville, TN, grandchildren, Chandler Settle, Brandy Lee Truebenbach, Tim Burke, and four great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Friday at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, Nashville, TN, with Bro. Scot Warpool officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm Thursday at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN and from 11:00 am until the time of service Friday at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
