Obituary for James Harold Atkins

James Harold  Atkins
James Harold Atkins, age 90 of Indian Mound, TN passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Clarksville Nursing and Rehab. He was born March 18, 1927 in Stewart County, TN, son of the late George Thomas and Nina Milan Atkins.
Mr. Atkins was retired from the US Army, and is a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He is also a retired Civil Service employee and school bus driver.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Eva Nell Atkins, second wife, Ella Ree Atkins, son, Ronald Atkins, brothers, Edward Atkins, Glen Atkins, Douglas Atkins, Wayne Atkins, Clinton Atkins, and sister, Ruby Atkins.
Survivors include his children, Barry Atkins, Roger Atkins, Amy Lorraine Ricketts, Charmine Bowers, sister, Jewel Dean Foust, grandchildren, Barry Seay, Heather Atkins, Toby Earhart, Adam Earhart, James Atkins, Michelle Henry, Anthony Atkins, Joshua Bowers, Nicole Bowers, 14 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Monday at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Dunaway, Rev. Garrette Milliken, and Rev. Willis Castile officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound, TN. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 6:00 pm Sunday and from 12:00 until the time of service on Monday at Anglin Funeral Home. Military will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, C.E. Wallace, Gary Downs, Steve Atkins, and Ray Ward.
