William Leroy Austin, 66 of Indian Mound, TN passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at St. Thomas West Hospital. He was born October 17, 1950 in Clarksville, TN son of the late Jimmie and Imogene Milliken Austin. Mr. Austin was a supervisor for the Stewart County Schools. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Vickie Austin. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Sharon Gafford Austin, Indian Mound, TN, son, James Tyler Austin (Dana), Nashville, TN, daughter, Jennifer Lynn Austin, Big Rock, TN, sister, Trudy Jones, Clarksville, TN and grandchildren, Justin and Gloria.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 11:00 am at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Bros. Garrette Milliken, Maxie Milliken and Melvin Dunaway officiating. Burial will follow in the Austin Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 4:30 – 8:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home and on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 10-11:00 am at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Steve Ford, Danny Lee, Jamie Bogard, Shaun Jones, James Smith and Robert Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Lemons, Amy Russell and Carla Wallace.
