Delilah Dare Link Reynolds, age 71, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House, Collierville, TN.
Dee was born May 1, 1945, to parents, Edison and Lolita Wallace Link. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Dane Reynolds, and her brother, Ronnie Link. She is survived by her sister, Brittye Link Francis (William) Cordova, TN, nephews, Peter Francis (Harriet) Marion, AR, Chase Link (Gina) Dover, TN, nieces, Amber Link Holland (Sam) Chapmansboro, TN, Rhonda Link, Dover, TN, grandnieces Elizabeth Francis, Marion, AR, Abbey Link, Dover, TN and grandnephew, John Francis, Marion, AR.
Dee was graduated from Stewart County High School in 1962 and earned a bachelors degree and two masters degrees from Vanderbilt University and a Specialist in Education Degree from Murray State University. She taught at Stewart County High School and was named a Professor of English at Paducah Community College, where she taught for 17 years.
Dee had varied interests that she pursued vigorously throughout her life. She wrote poetry, short stories, plays, and was, at her death, writing a novel. She loved all music and was always involved in expanding her knowledge and expertise in differing areas: piano, organ, clarinet, guitar, dulcimer, autoharp, and voice. She was a member of the Civil War Singers and the First Christian Church of Dover.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Don Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Page Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service Saturday. Honorary pallbearers will be William Francis, Peter Francis, John Francis, Chase Link, Sam Holland, and Tony Wallace.
