Obituary for David Outland

On Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 4:40 am, David Edward Outland, age 84 of 701 The Trace, Dover, TN answered his last "Roll Call." Born in Crockett's Creek in Stewart, County on June 21, 1928 son of the late Joe and Fannie Outland. David was preceded in death by his first wife and the Mother of his children, Mildred Gentry and his second wife, Isabella Alexander, his sisters, Emogene Allen and Moela Robertson and brother, Namon Outland. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Ann Irby, Gretna, LA, Melissa Stockdale, Lawrenceville, GA, Becky and Randy Ferguson, Cartersville, GA; grandchildren, Angela Ledet, Sabrina Fuller, Matthew Irby of Louisana, Brekke Ferguson of Indiana, Adam Ferguson and Samantha Stockdale of Georgia; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He served in the Air Force for twenty one years, traveled in twelve foreign countries and around the world twice but of all the places he had been, David loved Stewart County the best. He was self employed moving mobile homes around the country. In 1980 he went to work at Fort Donelson National Park and worked there for thirteen years. He retired in 1993 lived the "Life of Riley" while enjoying family, friends and life. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Outland Cemetery, Model, TN with full military honors. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with a Masonic service at 6:00 pm on Saturday, June 1, 2013. Pallbearers will be Matthew Irby, Adam Ferguson, Sabrina Fuller, Samantha Stockdale, Ronnie Hicks, Jeremy Betts, Chris Robertson, Eric Pritchet, Keith Robertson and Les Robertson.
