Robert Edgar  Austin Sr.
Robert Edgar Austin, Sr., age 80 of Indian Mound, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born February 3, 1938 in Stewart County, TN, son of the late Oscar, Sr. and Willie John Austin. Mr. Austin worked as a saw mill manager.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Nancy Heflin Austin, children, Rickey Lee Austin, Indian Mound, Robert Austin, Jr., Indian Mound, Mary Heflin, Indian Mound, grandchildren, Tonette Austin, Lisa Austin, Sabrina Austin, John John Bane, Jackson Bane, James Watson, and Nathaniel Austin, great grandchildren, Antonio Austin, Christopher Austin, Heaven Austin, Danny Austin, Kate Stepp, and Aiden Austin.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday at Austin Cemetery, Indian Mound, with Bro. Willis Castile officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 12:30 Thursday at Anglin Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Dotson Elliott, Rooster Tyson, Doyle Austin, PeeWee Austin, Stacey Grizzard, Mark Grizzard, K.K. Dennis, and Larry Smith.
