James (J.C.) Lyon, 81, of Dover, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.
J.C. was born on November 1, 1936 in Fort Henry, TN, to the late Ray Lyon and Robbie Lyon.
J.C. retired after 48 years from the Stewart County Board of Education. He was also the Stewart County Electrical Inspector for 20 years. He was a member of the Sycamore Flat Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Norma Jean Young and brother, Virgil Lyon. He is survived by his wife, Naomi Lyon, daughter, Lisa Polarek (John), son, Jimmy Lyon (Tammy), sister, Nelda Crockarell, grandchildren, Justin Malray (Sara), Jeffrey Malray (Chelsea), Devan Flynn (Mike), Joel Polarek, and Samuel Polarek, great grandchildren, Bodhi and Casek Malary.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 17, at Anglin Funeral Home, with Bro. John Maltais officiating. Burial will be in the Stewart County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Clay Young, Joel Polarek, Samuel Polarek, Justin Malray, Jeffrey Malray, and Mike Flynn.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
