Ted Newberry, 75 of Dover, TN passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Centennial Medical Center. He was born April 2, 1942 in Stewart Co., TN son of the late Lynn and Maggie Pulley Newberry. Mr. Newberry was a former teacher and bus driver for Stewart County Schools, a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and a member of the Moriah Grove Masonic Lodge. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Hernandez. Survivors include his wife, Maxine Morgan Newberry, Dover, TN, son, Nathan Newberry (Valerie), Clarksville, TN, son, Rickey Knight (Michaela), Dover, TN, daughter, Debbie Holland (Dennis), Dover, TN, brother, Eddie Newberry, Indian Mound, TN, sisters, Carolyn Cottrell (Carl), Dover, TN, Brenda Lombardo, St. Petersburg, MO, grandchildren, Alyssa Bynum, Kortney Ross, Allyson Hunter, Shawon Knight, Aidan Newberry, Dane Newberry, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Melvin Dunaway officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart Co. Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 4-8:00 pm with a masonic service at 7:00 pm and on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 10-11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Nathan Wallace, Jeff Burkhart, Mitchell Gregg, Jacob Hunter, Bryan Darnell and Aaron Ross. Honorary pallbearers will be the Stewart Co. School bus drivers.
