Boyd Allen, 100 of Dover, TN passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare. He was born September 8, 1916 in Stewart Co., TN son of the late Neal and Mamie Robertson Allen. Mr. Allen grew up in Model, TN, was a retired school bus driver, was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and also attended Wyatt’s Chapel Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sue Dortch Allen, brothers, Edward, Robert, Thurman, Russell, Lloyd, Newman and Neal Allen, and sisters, Myrtle Sills, Sylvia Sills, Evelyn Bocek, and Leva Barrett. Survivors include his sons, Jackie Allen, Springville, TN, Dana Allen, Dover, TN, daughter, Ann Atkins, Dover, TN, grandchildren, Karen Ross, Mickey Atkins, Jeff Allen, Suzanne Howell, Brenda Pinkowsky, Abigail Allen, Caitlin Smoker, thirteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Melvin Dunaway, Bro. Russell Ragsdale, and Bro. Paul Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Wofford Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 5-8:00 pm and on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 10-11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Terry Barrett, Mason Sills, Jason Sills, Shannon Atkins, Jeff Allen, Ryan Pinkowsky and David Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
