Retha Gaye Austin, 76 of Indian Mound, TN passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare, Clarksville, TN. She was born June 10, 1940 in Kentucky daughter of the late Frank and Edna May Vincent Barfield. Mrs. Austin was a member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church, a homemaker and tobacco farmer. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, one sister and a child at birth. Survivors include her children, Charles Wesley Austin, Woodlawn, TN, Michael Lee Austin, Indian Mound, TN, Timothy Allen Austin, Indian Mound, TN, Phyllis Ann Johnson, Indian Mound, TN, brother, Wayne Barfield, Clarksville, TN, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the Austin Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 5-8:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN.
