Obituary for Bettie Frances Unger (Brooks)

Bettie Brooks Barker Unger, 92 of Tennessee Ridge, TN passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Spring Meadows. She was born November 4, 1923 in Houston Co., TN daughter of the late Clyde and Ida Garton Brooks. Mrs. Unger was a retired dietician. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, A.B. Barker, granddaughter, Melissa Bullard, brothers, Elmer, Bert and Buford Brooks, and sisters, Callie Brooks Parker, Irene Brooks Lewis and Lily Newcomb. Survivors include her husband, James William Unger, Tenn. Ridge, TN, daughters, Bettie Sue Garrison Dew, Dover, TN, Carolyn Ann Barker Bullard, Cumberland City, TN, step sons, Wayne Unger, Edwardsville, IL, Leroy Unger, Caseyville, IL, step daughter, JoAnne Fields, Granite City, Il, sister, Hazel Burgess, Erin, TN, 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 5-8:00 pm and on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 10-11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Tim McDonald and Rev. Artist Waynick officiating. Burial will be in the Stewart Co. Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN.
