Imogene  Church
Imogene Church, age 89, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at her home in Bon Aqua, TN. She was born Saturday, February 19, 1927 in Davy, WV, daughter of the late James Charles and Florence Ethel Cummings Centers.

Imogene ‘Genie’ retired from Grange Mutual Insurance Co. in Columbus Ohio. She was a pastor’s wife in Grove City Ohio from 1957 to 1969 and traveled throughout central Ohio as she and her husband Silas ministered in other churches. She sang, played piano and accordion, and did chalk drawings. She loved having three daughters. As little girls she delighted in designing and making them “look alike” dresses and curling their hair into Shirley Temple curls. She wrote and published two books of poems. Her third book of poems will be published soon. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Silas F. Church, brothers, Charles ‘Chuck’ Senters, James ‘Steve’ Centers, Ted ‘Dockie’ Centers, grandson, Brian Smith, and son-in-law, Clyde Walker.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathy (James) Wallace, Pleasant View, TN, Cindy (Paul) Smith, Bon Aqua, TN, Joanie Walker, Franklin, TN, grandchildren, Tammy (Loren) Altizer, Wendy (Paul) Mullins, Jill (Scott) Niccolich, Robyn (Jon) Wiley, Paul E. (Amy) Smith, Christy (Cary) Graham, Jennifer (Matt) Gingerich, Matthew Maynard, Garrett (Amber) Walker, great grandchildren, Kristen Brown, Wyatt Altizer, Kennedy Altizer, Travis Mullins, Brad Mullins, Audrey Niccolich, Jackson Niccolich, Morgan Smith, Eli Smith, Josiah Smith, Jesse Smith, Ezra Smith, Havah Smith, Jacob Gingerich, Scout Gingerich, great-great grandchildren, Kenley Brown, Grayson McCoy, brother, Jimmy D. Centers, Columbus, OH, sisters, Inez Graf, Labelle, FL, and Shelia Patterson, OH.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 am Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Patty, Rev. Byron Benson, and Rev. James Kahler officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of service Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Paul Smith, James Wallace, Paul E. Smith, Matthew Maynard, Brad Mullins, Eli Smith, Jonathan Wiley, and Loren Altizer. Arrangements have been entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN.
