Estelle Shemwell, 94 of Big Rock, TN passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Diversicare of Dover. She was born February 26, 1922 in Stewart Co., TN daughter of the late Doug and Della Carr Barnes. Mrs. Shemwell was a homemaker and a member of Big Rock Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Genie Shemwell, sons, Randall Shemwell, Donald Shemwell, brothers, Frank Barnes, Rex Barnes, sisters, Ruth Allen, Pauline Knott and Dorris Kroeger. Survivors include her daughters, Monica Shemwell, Big Rock, TN, Jan Hooper, Fallbrook, CA, brother, E.D. Barnes, Dover, TN, sister, Margaret Lyons, Franklin, TN and granddaughter, Michelle King (Jim).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 4-6:00 and on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 12-1:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with Glen Glenn officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
