Evon Helen Joiner, 91 of Big Rock, TN passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Diversicare of Dover. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 12:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Truman Miller and Rev. James Shephard officiating. Burial will follow in Hinson Cemetery. Visitation will held on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 4-8:00 pm and on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 10:00 am til 12:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN.
She was born April 27, 1925 in Stewart Co., TN daughter of the late Webster and Flora Wallace Hinson. Mrs. Joiner was a homemaker and a member of Brandon Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William B. Joiner, daughter, Sharon Miller and brothers, Bernice Hinson, Edward Hinson and Wallace Hinson. Survivors include her son, Bill Joiner (Donna), Clarksville, TN, daughter, Sandra Elliott (Brian), Dover, TN step daughter, Mary Jo Kimbro (Richard), Goodlettsville, TN, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bob Murphy, John Hartman, Larry Hinson, Jonathan Miller, Jeremy Joiner and David Joiner.
