Alice M. Williams, age 89, of Dover passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Diversicare of Dover. She was born January 30, 1927 in Stewart County, TN, daughter of the late Charlie and Neva Wyatt Brumley. Alice was known as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother (Nennie), and caregiver to many. She was a very active in her church and United Methodist Women’s Group.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Williams, brother, Oscar Brumley, sisters, Hattie Sleigh, Blanche Braffe, Myrtle Reding, and Lucille Hall.
Survivors include her sons, Charles (Barbara) Williams, Mark (Ruth Ann) Williams, sister, Elsie Wingham, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
She was blessed with great caregivers in her declining years, Beulah Austin, Ivana Torrey, Eva Mae Crain, Nell Hicks, and the staff of Diversicare of Dover.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Friday at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Heflin Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 pm Thursday at Anglin Funeral Home and from 11:00 am until the time of service on Friday. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
