Helen Grasty, 74 of Indian Mound, TN passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with Mike Howard and Dave Lunsford officiating. Burial will follow in the Seay Cemetery, Indian Mound, TN. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 4-8:00 pm and on Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 12 -2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home.
She was born April 10, 1941 in Stewart Co., TN daughter of the late Leonard and Robbie Coleman Downs. Mrs. Grasty was a homemaker, retired clerk from the Indian Mound Post Office and a member of the Indian Mound United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Delano R. Grasty and a brother, Bobby Downs. Survivors include her sons, Brian Grasty (Debbie) and Philip Grasty (Becky), all of Indian Mound, TN, brothers, Jackie Downs, Indian Mound, TN, James Downs, Granite City, IL, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mitchell and Margaret Gregg, Thomas, Seth and Sarah Grasty, Alex Voss and Marty Grasty.
