Charles Robert "'Chuck' "  Pallay Sr.
Charles Robert Pallay, Sr. ‘Chuck’, age 83, of Dover, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at his home. He was born November 23, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York, son of the late William Bohnenberger and Helen Pallay. Mr. Pallay served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church and the Stewart County Senior Citizens Center. Chuck was an avid golfer.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Susie Pallay. Survivors include his children, Melissa Garcia, Clarksville, Sandy Dycus, Clarksville, Charles Robert Pallay, Jr., Clarksville, Zachary Keith Pallay, Paris, and Brandi Welker, Dover, 11 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home, with burial in the Wofford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday and from 12:00 until the time of service on Saturday. Pallbearers will be Hunter Welker, Chase Welker, Robbie Pallay, Victor Garcia, Tom Beasley, and Derrick Sullins. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Leatherwood Voluntary Fire Department.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Stewart County Humane Society.
