Harold “Hank” DeRose, age 85 of Indian Mound, TN passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015. He was born December 16, 1929 in New Jersey son of the late Elva Carlock DeRose and Walter White DeRose. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force and twenty years in U. S. Army serving in Japan, Germany, Korea and Ft. Campbell. He retired from the U. S. Army in 1968 and the Civil Service in 1985.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his wife, Bettie Louise Taylor DeRose, son, Walter Douglas DeRose, Dover, TN, daughters, Deborah Settle, Dover, TN Bonnie Wilson, Indian Mound, TN, grandchildren, Robert Settle, Richard Foster, Melvin J. Foster, David Foster, Bryan DeRose, Misty DeRose Harris, Taylor Settle, Cortney Wilson, great grandchildren, Braiden, Kaylee, Gavin, Claire, Kaden, sisters, Marian Miller, CT, Lois DeRose, Pennsylvania, and nieces and nephews. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2015 from 4-8:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home and on Monday, May 4, 2015 from 1-3:00 pm at Rose Valley United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Rose Valley United Methodist Church will Bro. Paul Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Valley Cemetery. Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
