Aaron Gilbert Vaughan, 74 of Indian Mound, TN passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015 at Gateway Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound, TN. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 5-8:00 pm and on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 10-11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home.
He was born May 30, 1940 in Indian Mound, TN son of the late Jack and Beatrice Blane Vaughan. Mr. Vaughan was a construction superintendent at Moore Construction Company, founder of Rick’s BBQ and the Garden Gate Nursery, commissioner with the North Stewart Water Utility and a member of Wyatt’s Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Vera Crain. Survivors include his beloved wife, Alma Smith Vaughan, Indian Mound, TN, son, Burton Vaughan (Shannon), daughter, Sherry Crockarell (Ricky), brother, Cecil Vaughan, sister, Una Vaughan, grandchildren, Todd Crockarell and Reagan Vaughan and great grandsons, Blane and Hollis Crockarell. Pallbearers will be Todd Crockarell, Roger Pile, James Whitford, Gary Earhart, Dalton Bagwell, and Jimmy Felts.
