Obituary for Noel Allen Nolin
Noel Allen Nolin, age 102, of Dover, passed away, December 5, 2014 at his residence. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday at the Dover Church of Christ, with Bobby O’Dell to officiate, burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 pm at Anglin Funeral Home and from 1:00 pm until the time of service on Sunday at the Dover Church of Christ.
He was born February 26, 1912 in Tharpe, TN, son of the late Lewis Young and Lettie Jacobs Nolin. Mr. Nolin worked for the U.S. Corp of Engineers as a deep water diver and lockman, he was also an elder at Dover Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Omega Crutcher Nolin, brothers, Howard Nolin, Elvis Nolin, and sister, Pauline Rushing. Survivors include his children, Rudy Nolin, Shreveport, LA, Marvin Nolin, Dover, David Nolin, Dover, and Barbara Causey, Scottsville, KY, 11 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rudy Nolin, Marvin Nolin, David Nolin, Marty Nolin, Tony Melton and Frankie Sills. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jamie Borens, Bobby Herndon, Billy Williams, John Nolin, Keith Causey, Albert Wallace, Bailey Pummer, and Carlos Lackey.
