Elva L. Vanzant, 84 of Cumberland City, TN passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Artist Waynick officiating. Burial will follow in the Vanzant Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 4-8:00 pm and Thursday, June 12, 2014 form 10-11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home.
She was born July 13, 1929 in Dallas, TX daughter of the late William Robert and Marie Hood Clements. Mrs. Vanzant was a homemaker and attended Scott's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her Husband, Leotus "Skipper" Vanzant, brother, William Robert Clements, Jr. and infant daughter, Judy Marie Vanzant. Survivors include her sons, Michael Vanzant (Sharon), Cumberland City, TN, Greg Vanzant (Karen), Cumberland City, TN, daughter, Tina Nichols, Erin, TN, 7 grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Andy Vanzant, Matthew Vanzant, Zeke Vanzant, Noah Vanzant, Ryan Bullard and Adam Travis.
